PASMI has produced 21 shows, including plays by Latinamerican authors, adaptations of classical works (of theatre and literature) and group-devised productions.

PASMI shows tackle contemporary issues, and aim to be a catalyst in stimulating the audience´s reflection about these issues. After every PASMI performance an open discussion or forum is held with the audience, whether adults or young people.

PASMI´s work is based on a long term artistic development process with company members, and therefore company shows can remain in repertoire for many years. As a result of this, our shows have been seen by thousands of people in an amazing variety of places and contexts in Chile and Latin America (Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay). PASMI’s first tour to Europe : October-November 2008

Our commitment to ACCESS TO THE ARTS converts into the following strategies:

  • Annual schools touring program, using a system of “fee redistribution” (the cost of performances is subsidised by schools or colleges with a higher income base, because “money cannot be an obstacle to culture”)
  • Touring and collaborative projects in regional areas of Chile and other countries
  • “Flexible productions” that can be performed in a diversity of spaces and conditions
  • Participation in festivals that prioritise performances in marginalised sectors
  • Coordination of PASMI tours in Chile and to other countries that prioritise performances in a diversity of communities and to a diversity of audiences
